The Dalí Theater-Museum is a museum entirely dedicated to the painter Salvador Dalí, which is located in Plaza Gala-Salvador Dalí, number 5, in Figueras (Gerona province, Catalonia, Spain). According to The Art Newspaper, based on data provided by the museums themselves, the Dalí Theater-Museum was the third most visited museum in Spain in 2017, with 1 207 149 visitors, ranking number 40 in its ranking of the 100 museums in The world's most visited art.4 Due to its large public influx and commercial management, it is possibly the only Spanish museum that is entirely self-financing from its own income. It is managed by the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation. The artist bequeathed in his will an enormous amount of works of art to the Spanish State, which were distributed between this museum and the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid. The repertoire exhibited in Figueras has subsequently been enriched with acquisitions made by the Foundation.
